Change The Stories We Tell Our Kids

In a world where stories shape destinies, the single most important thing we can do for the future is change the stories we tell our kids.

Telling powerful stories is kind of my thing.

I'm a TV Producer, Children's Writer, Coach and Entrepreneur. But my most important job is being a mom.

Having worked over a decade in television, I know that not all content is created equally, and the stories that inspire children have lasting consequences.  That's why I'm dedicated to creating and championing media that cultivates essential life skills while letting kids be kids, first.  I'm on a mission to ensure that kids' social and emotional needs are a priority in every household, and that schools have the essential elements for the thriving development of every child.

I founded the digital platform HueGo.  It's a trusted library for colorful and authentic, culturally-imaginative children’s media across books, podcasts, music and more.  Racial representation in children’s media is essential for growing and retaining children’s self-worth and belonging, and for raising kids who love and value our multicultural world.

Because all kids deserve media that improves their lives

My latest masterclass is for parents, teachers, storytellers -- anyone who dares to guide kids down the path to their own power. It's to promote a conscious standard for how we engage with kids through stories so they can grow up supported and fortified with the character strengths they need to imagine a better future for themselves, their families and communities.
